Busy Bees, Or Should I Say Bears
Sunday, October 28, 2007 at 11:05PM It was a weekend of getting things done. Knocking things off the the good old “To-do” list. Among the accomplishments were:
- Organizing the closets and swapping out the tank tops for the sweaters
- Taking out the screens, putting in the storm windows
- Bleeding the radiators
- Cleaning out the ancient heater (that we pray lasts another year)
- Packing the beach chairs and toys away in the back cellar
- Washing all the blankets and throws
- Purchasing a much needed new duvet cover
Need I tell you how depressed I am? Preparing for the dreaded winter does not lift my spirits one bit.
Seven months till spring.
I can do this. I’ve done it for forty one years.
I know I can. I know I can. I know I can…

Do yourself a favor and schedule a couple of tanning sessions during the winter.
It makes such a difference for me.
would you like to snowshoe on a sunny winter day;)) i'd love to see piper try!
Hang in there!!
Hey on Friday it occured to me that I might have your kid! We could not make her Gothic Child Vampire costume creepy enough to suit her (fangs! devil wand! white face paint and dripping blood!).
It hit me at the costume shop as we dickered over accessories. She was DESPERATE for this disgusting little dead rat, with bloody side and mouth (EWWWWWW!!!). OMG, I though, Momish needs to handle this for me.
So listen, my mother and her 30+ years of teaching K and 1st says this is a particularly bloodthirsty age (so far so true...simply gruesome these six years old, really).
So just wait...you'll get yours.
And I don't mean that at all threateningly. ;)

Using My Words
Awww, really? I'd rather wear a nice warm sweater than a tank top anyday. I just love my jeans and sweaters and boots! Icy sidewalks, not so much.
Sad and funny - 7 months to spring - ha! See ya.
Lord, I'm tired just reading this.
You need a cocktail.
our winters aren't nearly as rough, so the only preparing i really do is stocking up on good books. you'll get through it! i wouldn't mind a hibernation period of my own.
I know what you mean, it's been so gray and gusty today I just can't get the energy up. Six more months till I'm able to feel light again :)
