Should I?

I need your help.  I am seriously debating getting a Kindle eReader after reading a review on my friend’s website Organize More, Stress Less.  But sweet Jesus, Mary & Joseph, they are so expensive!

Gulp.

Still, I am an avid reader and when I consider just how much I spend on books (which get tossed aside after I read them in a day or two), this might be a great investment for me once I get over the initial up front cost.  But sweet Jesus, Mary & Joseph, that is one hell of an up front cost!

There are so many classics out there that you can download for free or real cheap. What I’m thinking is for the next year or two I would never need to buy another book again. That alone could save me $120 bucks a year or more! Not to mention how many trees I’d be saving in the process.  But sweet Jesus, Mary & Joseph, these babies are NOT cheap!

Not. Cheap. And since I have to stick to my budgeting rule, in order to buy the DX one with the bigger screen, I would have to save almost a thousand bucks!!

I hate my own rule.

Please, if anyone has a Kindle or even thought of buying a Kindle, I could sure use your insight.

  • What made you buy it? What made you not buy it?
  • Do you love it?  Do you use it as much as you thought you would?
  • Do you think you are saving money on dead tree books?
  • What size did you get?  Does it work for you or do you wish you had the smaller/larger one?

Anyone? Should I?

oh hey! Do you know Christine? What a small world, me too.
And I'm ultra proud of her for putting that website together, btw.

Oooooo...I am so glad you posted this question. I've been debating this very purchase myself. Sorry, I have nothing to add. But I will be lurking back here often to hear what others have to say!
