Halloween Meme

I've been tagged (my first time ever!) by Slakermommy with Its A Blog Eat Blog World  Halloween meme, so here it goes:

1. What is the scariest movie you have ever seen?

Amittyville Horror. It scared me shitless. It also didn't help that I woke that night at exactly 3:15 AM.  Needless to say, I immediately started screaming my head off. I wasn't allowed to watch horror films after that.

2. What was your favorite Halloween Costume from childhood?

I was a ballerina. But, it was favorite because my mom cut up her wedding gown in order to make it for me. So I felt like a ballerina and a bride!

3. If you had an unlimited budget, what would your Fantasy Costume be for this Halloween?

I would like to be a hula dancer, but a very authentic looking one. Like, one actually in Hawaii, on a sandy beach, a killer tan, mai tai within arms reach, etc.

4. When was the last time you went Trick Or Treating?

For myself, probably 20 years ago. But, last year I took my daughter trick or treating and then stole all her candy.

5. What's your favorite Halloween Candy?

Reese's Buttercups. I actually don't like them at any other time of the year.  Only at Halloween.

6. Tell us about a scary nightmare you had.

Being chased by a bear through the woods.  I've had the same one since I was a kid. Still have it from time to time. I need help.

7. What is your Supernatural Fear?

Mind control. Don't mess with the mind, anything but the mind. You can have my soul, just leave the mind alone!

8. What is your Creepy-Crawlie Fear?

Maggots. Hate the little shits. Ewww!

9. Tell us about a time when you saw a ghost, or heard something go Bump in the night.

I think I saw a ghost in my old apartment. I watched a human shaped shadow move along my wall, but there was no sun, no light, no other person around, no way that shadow could have been cast across that wall. It was FREAKY! I ran.

10. Would you ever stay in a real Haunted House overnight?

Only if there were a lot of other people there with me. And, a way out. An easy way out.

11. Are you a traditionalist (just a face) Jack O'Lantern Carver, or do you get really creative with your pumpkins?

Traditionalist to the umpth degree. Boring, I know.

12. How much do you decorate your home for Halloween?

I definately decorate, but only a few token items here and there and in my window. Nothing like what I do for Christmas.

13. What do you want on your Tombstone?

Next!  (It's been my motto in life for quite some time)

Ok, so I am a bit of a retard when it comes to this stuff, being a newbie and all. But, I am assuming it's my turn to tag...

In that case, I tag jen (the star of one plus two) , Jenny (of mama drama fame) and Jenny (THE Jenny Ryan, that is!).

I would included Jennifer (as in Jennifer Aniston), but I really don't think she reads my blog, on a regular basis that is.

I don't call it "stealing their candy." I call it "saving my children from dental ruin." It makes those Baby Ruth bars go down much more easily..

PS. fittingly I wrote about halloween myself today. I'll have to work on this one this weekend.

I forgot about Amittyville Horror. When I was little I had a friend whose house was shaped just as the Amittyville house. I tried to spend the night once but I was so freaked that my mom had to come pick me up. It didn't help that her mom was a Tarot card reader.
